I just bought Mautodynamiceq 8 version. My first Melda plugin. No issues likely because I have no previous versions. I'm really liking it so far. Much to learn though. May turn out to be a goto.

It's a beast Moslave...I got mine for like $50....it was as STEAL...make sure you check out
the video series I posted on it...

Bitfipper, that is a really, really good article! I am only now starting to work with the DynamicEQ and this helped a bunch.

Thanks for noticing the article, guys. Look for my article on spectrum matching with MAutoDynamicEQ in a couple weeks. I'm also contributing a review of Melda's newest plugin, MTransient, for the July edition.

For those still shopping for Melda plug-ins, Vojtech is taking requests for which plug-ins to discount next month, see  http://www.kvraudio.com/f...php?f=138&t=414812

Hey Bit,

Really happy to hear you're on board here with the articles! The Melda plugs are some Cool/Deep stuff but they definitely are not intuitive for the average joe and the documentation just does not do them justice.

Looking very forward to reading your contributions!!!

I know you're kidding, but I do worry about being perceived as a shill for Melda and will back away from them after the September issue - and shill for somebody else for awhile ;) But my enthusiasm for the product line is genuine.

Still a big fan of Fabfilter. Much prettier than the Meldaproduction stuff, and easier to grasp. But FF is pricey, which is what led me to investigate less-expensive alternatives in the first place, and then to make the happy discovery that such alternatives do exist.

I still love Pro-Q, but it's no longer the one I reach for first - MDynamicEQ is now my first-call equalizer. Pro-MB is a marvel of ergonomic design and very powerful, but MDynamicEQ usually takes precedence over that one, too. That's two FF products replaced by a single Melda plugin that recently went on sale for 1/10 the price of the FF ones.

I haven't tried MModernCompressor (currently on sale for $32!) yet, but I have a feeling it could conceivably dethrone the venerable Pro-C as my default go-to compressor.
