You may still want to use compression, as MAutoVolume is by design a slow-moving leveler, not a compressor. What you won't have to do anymore is put very low thresholds on the compressor for leveling, but rather high thresholds and high ratios for catching peaks.

Thanks bitflipper!

I have MMultiAnalyzer and it's a great tool. Very straight forward to use as well. The only other one I have is MRhythmizer, which is potentially a very powerful plugin but I almost demanded a refund because the manual is so utterly useless at explaining how the thing works. Almost a year later I'm still baffled.

That seems to be the general consensus for that plugin, as well as his drum machine: total user befuddlement. Vojtech thinks like a programmer, not a user. Everything makes perfect sense to him, from a programmer's perspective. Ask him why he implemented a feature the way he did, and he can always give you a perfectly logical rationale. Even if it's only comprehensible to another programmer.

Small developers don't have the luxury of usability experts, ergonomic testing and focus groups like, say, Microsoft does. But despite all that, some Microsoft UIs baffle me, too.

This has annoyed me about manuals since I've been reading manuals. A few years ago a Chinese-owned nut store opened in downtown Manhattan, and their shiny new expensive looking sign read "Mad About Nut" -- for chrissakes, run it by someone who speaks good English first  ...and it's the same with a lot of manuals. How hard is it to get a non-nerd to give it the once over before shipping it?

Anyway I've struggled through badly written manuals before and managed to piece together a coherent picture. Not MRhythmizer. I got about 3/4 of the way through and realized that the most basic functionality hadn't even been touched upon.

I gave up on Mdrummer, some good ideas, but like was said before, the manual was beyond comprehension. Nowhere did it offer a simple, plain English step by step to creating a song, just to complicated.

Does anyone know if the MMultiAnalyzer has been on sale yet? Looks well worth the money, but i can hang on if there's a chance of 50% off

IDK, but it is available at jrrshop for 15% off w/ their usual discount codes. I believe the plug-in selection for the current 50% off deal is made programmatically. It does not necessarily cycle through all the plug-ins.

Hang on, because the rotating discounts will continue at least through June. Although, as scook points out, there is no guarantee that any specific plugin will go on sale.

What are the odds? Hmm. There are 71 products, 3 of which are selected for each of 10 periods in June, which means that a maximum of 30 products will be chosen for discounting. Assuming no plugin is selected twice, there is a 43% chance of MMultiAnalyzer going on sale sometime in June.

The rotating sale, however, began in May. That left only 41 products for June's roster, 26 of which remain for the final 2 weeks of the month. If my memory is correct, and MMultiAnalyzer has not been on sale yet, then the odds are better than 2 to 1 that it will appear in the next two weeks. That's better odds than betting black at the roulette table.

But wait...if he does well with the rotating sale concept (and he apparently has because originally it was called "May Madness") then it's quite possible he'll keep it going beyond June, in which case he'll have no choice but to include MMultiAnalyzer at some point prior to August 1st.

Bzzt...have I had too much coffee this afternoon? I'm starting to see purple spots...I typed 80 words per minute in high school, I bet I could beat that now...

Last I checked MAutoDynamicEQ is listed presently for the discount. That's the second time it has been posted for a discount because I bought it the last time.

For anyone reading this, MAutoDynamicEQ is one of the ones to really pay attention to.
