TBH, who cares if they didn't make their release date? I would rather it be done right rather than have it released and not work. Yeah it's a pain to be told it's going to be released and then not be. I think it's more to do with impatience than anything. Why miss what you don't have in the first place?

I did not (and do not) see it as missing something. The rants, IMO, were based on need of 64bit.

The only people affiliated with IK here are Obi and myself.  We planted nobody, I'm sorry that people pointing out that the aggression toward us was a bit over the top makes you think that but just because it makes you think that doesn't make it true.  People that disagree with you and that are OK with IK aren't instantly plants, people are entitled to disagree with your point of view without such accusations.  I think this is pretty much the type of thing they were saying was a bit over the top.  Conspiracy theories are still conversation, though, so carry on.
 
I get it - you don't like IK.  I think we can all move on and move forward with that in mind.  IK is - SampleTank 3 is coming in July 2014 and that's how we are.  If you have no interest in it, that's cool.  Nobody is forcing you to buy it.  Onward and upward.

Personally, I think the problem is that some people allowed their understandable  frustration and quite legitimate criticisms of lack of 64bit, delays, delays, delays, etc. turn into incessant whining about every single thing IK ever did.
 
From my perspective, mixing that sort of petty whining with legitimate criticism only weakens the way the otherwise legitimate criticism is perceived. IOW, if you have a strong point to make then don't weaken it with lesser or irrelevant arguments.

Yes, vicious attacks. I made no claim one way or the other as to whether they were merited. I commented on how they handled them. Mosy companies would not bother. Waves amd iLok catch a lot of flack on these forums too but don't bother to come here to at least present things from their perspective.

As far as the fanboy comments, your tactic of ad hominem attacks on me just demonstrates your lynch mob mentality. If someone says something you disagree with you feel the need to insult or dismiss with adidisparaging label. I am not in anyway affiliated with IK and have hardly said a word condemning or praising them. ST 2 XL barely gets used by me because itbis flakey using bitbridge. I just made a comment on how they handled endless venom. I have seen companies screw up far worse and not get the consistent attacks. IMHO this is mostly because they have the fortitude, care or idiocy to keep coming back for more. Most companies would have quit responding long ago, especially on another company's forum. If that makes me a fanboy, oh well. All I can do is laugh at the moronic logic that would lead someone to that conclusion.

I said that the guy sounded like an IK-plant. There always seems to be one or two commenters that chime in that they "don't know what all the fuss is about". "The IK guys seem pretty cool". Hence my plant observation.
 
Peter and Obi, it was suggested that you guys stay out of this forum until you have an actual product to sell. Pre sale is not an actual tangible product. It seems you have managed to slither back in here with presales, pricing and promises.
 
It is Freaking June 17th and you still have not delivered. You say ST3 is coming in July...you've said similar things before and you have never delivered. As of right now you still haven't delivered.
 
I do like IK products. I don't like lying corporate shills. I don't like IK liars that come into these forums and make snarky comments and then act like the victim.
 
GTFO and come back when the ST3 is actually available. This is not the 1st time you have been told this.

And I say stay and ignore people who dont speak for all of us. I would much rather have dialogue with a company...even one that HAS disappointed us then no convo at all. How a guy with perhaps 10 posts EVER regarding IK and daily posts for years about everything else seems like a plant is laughable. Then again the type of mind that would jump to that conclusion is the last one you should pay any heed to.

A bit of advice, for what it is worth. If someone does decide to pre-order?.... Get it from someone like Sweetwater and you will not be charged until the product is available. IK's site says you WILL be charged at the time of pre-order.
 
Still don't understand the pre-order thing except, in IK's case, it brings revenue in immediately for a product that still is not available...

MGC59:  I believe this forum has an ignore feature that you are free to use.  I do appreciate your kind offer but I will not be bullied off of the forum just because you feel IK should not be here.  Nobody is forcing you to read threads about IK and again you can use the ignore function to block us out if you wish.  Other than that, I hope you have a great day but it will not be made great by us leaving.  You can suggest all you want, but we're not breaking any rules.
 
One could suggest that people who make blunt accusations thinly disguised as "observations" should find somewhere else to go but that too would be quite rude.
 
You have zero authority to tell to us to do or not do anything here, especially not to leave until some arbitrary condition you made up is met so kindly find another target who may succumb to your bullying or better yet perhaps not bullying at all would be a pretty cool thing.  Not my call though, so carry on as you wish.
