I said that the guy sounded like an IK-plant. There always seems to be one or two commenters that chime in that they "don't know what all the fuss is about". "The IK guys seem pretty cool". Hence my plant observation.

Peter and Obi, it was suggested that you guys stay out of this forum until you have an actual product to sell. Pre sale is not an actual tangible product. It seems you have managed to slither back in here with presales, pricing and promises.

It is Freaking June 17th and you still have not delivered. You say ST3 is coming in July...you've said similar things before and you have never delivered. As of right now you still haven't delivered.

I do like IK products. I don't like lying corporate shills. I don't like IK liars that come into these forums and make snarky comments and then act like the victim.

GTFO and come back when the ST3 is actually available. This is not the 1st time you have been told this.

Seriously, how old are you? "Corporate shill"? "IK fan boys"? I'm in no way a plant, a corporate shill or a fan boy, but I think IK handles themselves with a ton more class and restraint than people like you. I've seen a couple of other threads in which they've been accused of being "snarky" and every time, it's been nothing more than IK defending themselves against some totally uncouth, childish, YouTube-esque attack. What exactly are you contributing here? This is a forum for civilized, mature people to talk music software. It's not a platform for teen angst.

I am a plant. I veg out as much as possible. To bad I don't live in Colorado.

I'm on both sides of the fence here. I'm not happy IK took forever getting ST3 out as I won't be able to afford it for quite a while because they took so long and now, funds are really tight. On the other hand, I would have been upset had the program not been ready. So I guess it's a good thing they took their time.

Stop the bickering!!! Get over yourselves!!!

BTW - I'm listening to these great sounds and now I'm more mad you took your time but that's life. I'm over it.

The digital music world fascinates me. The hate on IKM is intense while PACE and ILOK which are the worst invasions of privacy in the world of computing are applauded. I install ST2.5 and get nice though somewhat dated sounds (Miroslav held up though), I install PACE drivers and my computer slows to a crawl, so I uninstall and lose the ability to burn DVDs.
If I started a thread hating IKM, I'd would fit nicely into the mainstream digital music culture. If I started a thread hating PACE I would be banned from polite musical society forever.
What did IKM do to you? Did they steal your girlfriend, run over your cat, make off with the money intended for widows and orphans or encourage disco?
Can someone enlighten me?

Two questions about ST3 (and I must note that I have already ordered; these questions are just for info)

1. Will ST3 allow multi outputs sent to different audio tracks in Sonar?  So for example, can we send different drum channels in ST3 to different audio tracks in our DAWS?  Like Snare to track 1, kick to track 2, toms to track 3 ....  I know that ST3 has a new mixer layout and can handle lots of new IKM effects, but sometimes we like to send tracks out to multiple outputs.  is this possible with ST3?

2.  What sample rate are the new samples recorded 44.1, 48?  I may not have worded this correctly, but I can not find info on what new samples are recorded at (44.1, 48).  Btw, my ears are vintage (old) so I will not hear the difference, but there is a thread upstairs in the Sonar X area about taking advantage of higher internal sample rates on synths within the DAW domain; so I wonder if the new library has a newer sample rate than the original.

Again, I placed my order yesterday.  These are just questions i would like to know in anticipation of getting my ST3.

Thanks in advance for any information

Yes Sharke judging from my avatar I must be a 12 year old.

Corporate shill is exactly what the IK reps are in this case. A completely acceptable term. Fanboy a more "hip" internet slang for overly loyal cheerleader.

Again and for the last time I stated that someone "sounds like" these things. I never said they were.

There is a pattern in these threads. I pointed them out.

As for class...at least I stand by my word. If I promise something, I deliver.  I would never lead someone on or try to distract them with iCrap products as an alternative. This tact on IK's part was incendiary in these forums. If you haven't read the older posts them you will only see their "victim" side of the story.

As of June 18th, 2014 there is no ST3 available to a single user here. It was coming out in 2013. It was promised way before that.

I'm the bad guy here? I don't think so. I'm just pointing out the truth about IK and I will continue to do so until they deliver the product they promised years ago.

Cakewalk has been on the cutting edge of 64-bit since day one. Many users here were right there with them. That's why we support Cakewalk. That's the way a company should do business.

One last thing, I am a very happy IK customer. I own quite a bit of their software. (no iCrap however) My biggest investment is in ST2 and the libraries.

As Bapu stated earlier in this thread the main issue here was the need and desire for 64-bit. That was YEARS ago and it's still not here. Hence the ire, anger and vitriol. Hope that clears things up a bit.....

1. SampleTank 3 does support multi-out but note that the drum kits themselves as single instruments will not send different parts to different outputs.  You can send different instruments to different outputs and SampleTank 3 will offer kit components to load as single instruments to let you route them as you wish, though.

2.  I don't see this information published at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/sampletank3 so I'll see if there are plans to and make the suggestion for people who are curious.

Thank you for the questions and your preorder, July will be a great month from what I'm seeing :)

I get your point... and it's certainly valid.

IMO, Some of the responses to IK are a bit over-the-top.
IK responding to these posts keeps stoking the fire.

For those of us a bit more "in the middle", this kills any type of meaningful discussion.
The thread always spins into conflict.

It's kind of like being at a party with a bunch of friends... and one couple starts arguing in front of everyone.

It would be nice if we could get back to discussing software/hardware/music.
Look at the guitar building thread (think it's in the Coffee House).
That's interesting... full of information... and just plain cool.

You just need to learn to contain your rage and box clever. The vitriol is completely out of proportion and does not reflect well on you. I've been mildly irritated by software companies not bringing out what I want when I want too. But I can't imagine ever spitting this kind of rage over it. I guess I save that kind of emotion for things that are really important. IK are a company, one of many, and we're spoiled for choice. If you're not happy with one company's output then just take your money elsewhere instead of making a fool of yourself online.

As always Jim you are correct in every point you made.

As far as ST3 goes, there can be no meaningful discussion until we actually have a delivered product.

If it workflows as well as ST2 did for me, there will be only praise.

I will check out Coffee House. For some reason I have never been in there.

Also the system you sold me has brought me nothing but pleasure these past few years. Thank you for a wonderful product and support.

Much respect.

One more time...if you haven't read the old posts and followed this thread, it goes back years.
Money that I invest in software that I use everyday is very serious business.

I have taken my business elsewhere. But I will not idly stand by and let IK off the hook when they come into these Cakewalk Forums and BS me. This is a Cakewalk Users Forum not a software peddlers forum.

I never set foot in the IK Forums or KVR. If it weren't for this topic I'd barely set foot in this one.

I honestly don't care how I am perceived. I make music.

If people do right by me I am nothing but kind. Lie to me and you get threads like this one.

No rage, just response.
