I'm so glad my kids have grown past the point of trying to rationalize temper tantrums by resorting to the ol " you didn't see what happened" excuse. Let's say the IKM staff was out of line in some responses in the past. It still seems irrational to make to go on the attack on every post regardless of what is said. By constantly referring back to old conversations you create a built in excuse to perpetually rage. Let it go. If July passes, feel free to resume raging and then...let it go again and let your wallet do the talking. This type of thread reflects more on you than them since your justification seems to hinge on the unrealistic notion that anyone would bother to go back and read pages senseless arguing.

As far as adding more meaningful discussion, I know we have definitely noted that there is some confusion about "what pricing do I qualify for?" and even though we do provide some detail at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=4109 I understand.  So I did want to say that I can answer your questions about that to the best of my ability or get you to the right person and you also have the option of logging in to our site and clicking the button to preorder will show you the version for which you qualify.

If you prefer to order from the dealer offering the preorder, you can still check with the methods above or you can contact your rep there directly and they will help too.  If you have any other questions you can ask me directly here or via PM, on our forum, our support team, or I can relay questions I don't have the answer for.  Thanks.

I have a simple question Obi. The full price after pre-order pricing is $349 USD. That will end up costing me more that $400 CDN.

What is there about sample tank that will make me want to leave Komplete at that price point? The number of sounds isn't it. I have thousands of sounds. Is it more user friendly? Is it easier to program multi-outs? Tell me why I should be interested. Serious questions with no hidden agenda.

No hidden agenda in the reply either :)  We know there are options available but SampleTank was not intended to be a "slayer" of any other particular product.  SampleTank is, as always, built to be a true workstation that provides a very fast and efficient workflow in the studio and live and SampleTank 3 does this with a fantastic high-quality stock library that rivals not only the stock libraries of other products (even those it doesn't intend to "slay" ;) ) but some dedicated libraries as well.  The ease of use in bringing a full composition up to speed at an alarmingly fast pace with the bonus of finely-crafted included sounds that we feel you probably won't end up wanting or needing to replace in the end product is really what it is all about.

Obi, I have a question I didn't see on the website:

What does ST3 import. I understand the old libraries are included or will import and the website mentioned (I think) individual .wav files, but is there any importing of other sample formats built in?

You will be able to import your own sounds too, but I need to get clarification on the final decision on formats and such so I've suggested that once those are public we publish them on the site.  I'll try to get more info as we approach the release, though.

As always Jim you are correct in every point you made.

As far as ST3 goes, there can be no meaningful discussion until we actually have a delivered product.

If it workflows as well as ST2 did for me, there will be only praise.

I will check out Coffee House. For some reason I have never been in there.

Also the system you sold me has brought me nothing but pleasure these past few years. Thank you for a wonderful product and support.

Much respect.

Glad to hear the DAW has been working well!
Much respect back to you...

There was a period of time where the Coffee House was full of turmoil.
That dates back a good ways...
The thread about building a custom guitar is particularly good.
Wish I had those skills!  Love translucent finishes on Ash body instruments

LOL ! Never been anywhere near as much as there has been in the main forum, although in fairness a good deal of that seems to have stopped with X3. These days all the drama queens are in the ST3 threads.
