You'll be happy with the performance Bill.....things should load up a bit faster. I try to regularly clean out the dust bunnies and fans (every few months) in my machine which helps the components to run as they should/keep cool.

My PC tried to upgrade my memory, but it wasn't compatible with me. Now, I beep loudly when I wake up.

At least, that's what I'm told. I don't remember it, though.

Maybe you need to update your BIOS.

If you had some RUM, you wouldn't care about your RAM.

I was just thinking about that and I'm going to give everything in my room a good cleaning. I'll change my strings and while I Am at it I might as well take a bath!

I just got an email from the company I ordered my memory from and if I'm reading this right I have to upgrade bios. How much is that going to cost and why didn't the tech mention it?

You should be able to download a newer version for free from your motherboard manufacturer, but flashing a bios (which has nothing to do with being naked under a coat Bill  ) can be a tricky process.

go to the dell website
there is a support section
there will be a place to enter your SERVICE CODE (its on a sticker somewhere on or in the case)

it will automatically take you to a section for updated drivers and such

there should be a BIOS upgrade file you can download and apply

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER YOU CAN HOSE YOUR PC IF YOU SCREW UP
