Bill, I am reading that the 435 MAY be operating your two hard drives is a RAID 0 configuration..
that complicates things a bit. Maybe best to leave it alone right now and jut add the third drive for audio

OK I bought the HD today. The folks Geeks at besT buy said all I have to do is replace the "D" with this new one. The D drive is 15 GB. 

I suppose being Ramsterized is better than being hamsterized...

Your First mistake is you spoke to the "geek squad"..
 
the D drive is "usually" your DVD drive, don't replace that.. UNLESS its E
 
I think you have two drives is a Raid 0 config, those both should be the C drive
 
then your DVD drive 
 
you have 4 SATA connectors on the MB, you should see two sata cables to the C drives, one cable to the DVD, and thats leaves one vacant connector (probably be sata 3). there also should be a spare power connector, and a vacant bay to mount the new HD, look in the bay for some plastic rails, these rails mount to your HD and they slip into mounting slots in the bay..
 
Do you still have your owners manual for your PC? if not download it from the Dell site, it will walk you through installing the new HD.

I would love to go to Cooters unfortunately my car won't make it over the bridge. We would have to push it over.
 
I see one connector loose.
The only thing I have is replacing HD but nothing about adding one.
