Does anyone have a suggestion on a good set of speakers for my PC that run no more than $200? There's just too big a gap in what I have to work with. The speakers on my PC do not get a proper low end sound. When I listen in my car or on my Bose system in my living room the song sounds completely different. I Am poor so that has to be a consideration. Thanks for any input!

$200 can buy some serious PC speakers!  So, I must ask:  What is their purpose?  Do you intend to use them as mixing monitors, music enjoyment or just to hear the default *BEEP!* at 110 dB?

$200 is quite the budget for PC speakers! M-Audio and Alesis both come to mind with relatively interesting options starting at around $100.

I got a little pair of Alesis M1 320 USB for $99 a few years ago and they've been quite useful to me.

And I also have Alesis M1Actives though mine are the older style.  According to research I just happened to have done earlier today (for much of my gear), the average price used on eBay for these is $121 for the pair.

Wow, those are only 10 watts?  Ok, those are a lot different than mine I guess!  Mine are bi-amped with 75 watts for the bass (woofer) and 25 watts for the treble (tweeter).

A while ago Danny Danzi raved about the Logitech speakers he uses on his home rig, the X530, here:

You will have to try these out, if only wanting computer speakers which is about what they are.

Low end sound, maybe not all that great but the only speakers that have a treble and bass control and volume control.

I also have the Alesis M1 Actives........and the older style (about 14 yrs old :)). Looks like they were quite the popular brand and still AM Rocking!!!
For this price range, you might as well get a pair of mixing monitors (which can also be used as multipurpose PC speakers).
