been patiently waiting for an decently priced and packed Ultimate version since my 2010 K6 purchase. K9U at 325 is a steal - definitely not waiting for a hefty K10U purchase.

Download products can be sold.  Contact NI to release the serials.  I've bought/sold probably 10 download NI items through the years (including a few items about two months ago).

You do have to keep the item you used to get the Crossgrade (as you would expect).

I can't imagine why anyone's complained about Battery 4. I was dubious about making the switch when I bought Komplete 9, but I'm really glad I did now. I would never knowingly load Battery 3 in a project now that I have Battery 4. It's so slick and intuitive, and looks fantastic as well. Going back to an old project with Battery 3 in it tonight, my first thought was "yuk"....

I've been watching some videos on B4 and have come to the same conclusion Sharke, ol pal. Think I'll take the plunge. I'll let ya know if Eddie was right about any problems but it looks like it might change something I never use ( B3) into something I do (B4).

I was reading somewhere - who knows if it's true- that Battery 4 doesn't include acoustic samples that it once used to, due to the offerings of their other acoustic drums libraries. Don't know about anybody else but I have no use for any electronic bleeps and blorps. I use Batteries' acoustic drums exclusively though. Great software and excellent processing. Wish they would have developed a full on mixer and a better eq GUI.

Looks to me as I'll just wait on K10U as I already own most of what is in K9U having owned K8U and then added:
The Giant
Action Strings
Session Strings Pro
Session Horns
Abbey Road Vintage Drums

So, I don't have:
Monark
Skanner XT
Damage
Evolve
RC 48
RC 24
Vari Comp
Vari EQ
Driver
Battery 4
Scarbee Rickenbacker (which I cover with Orange Tree Samples, or my Line 6 Variax Bass)

None of which I have any great desire to get.

BTW, McQ. I did get a hard drive with my K8U so I'm covered there.

This is true but the old B3 kits will work just fine in B4.

Thanks Smokey.
I got a reply from NI: "Registrations from our software products can be easily sold and transferred to
another user after contacting our registration support"

This is good news as far as upgrading to K9 goes, but I've been eyeing Maschine's Mikro2......ughhh....decisions....

Well, I pulled the trigger and got Komplete 9 on Sat.....hopefully, I can sell some of the duplicate synths and then get Mikro2.

That's the way to do it. There must be loads of people sitting on licenses they could sell on!
