I will say.... nothing lost, but my first instance of an existing project that had both Superior and EZD, after BOTH Toontrack items were all updated and the midi packs, etc..  I lost playback on ALL the other VSTi in that project.  I was able to just create another VSTi instrument track, copy the MIDI over and set the VSTi up like the one not playing.... and back to square one.  IF I would have had a pile of sessions like this, this might be trouble, but it was my first X3, experiment session, with a pile of stuff, but NOT a serious session.  I guess all my old projects which were actually in 7PE might do the same, but they're history at this point anyway.  Possibly a good reason not to upgrade mid-project??
Other than the Superior NY kits... I'm finding EXD2 to really be something good.  Makes me hesitate buying SDX NYvol3...and a bunch of other expansions.  EZD2 really lets you dial in more than you'd initially think.

Yeah, I can't figure out what the routing conflict is.  I'm not having similar issues in Studio One and I have multi-out EZdrummer tracks and other soft synths in those projects.  EZdrummer and the other synths are playing nicely with each other.

It's not just projects with multi out instances of EZdrummer, it affects stereo out, too.

All soft synths are routed to EZdrummer2.

Up and running, but can't figure out how to add something to their presets. Like adding a crash at the end of a section or bar. Also, can't figure out how to drag and drop a drum part to my Sonar 8.5. I wish there was more documentation, both with Sonar and EZDrummer.

Me, I'd probably create a short midi groove with nothing but a cymbal crash and save it in my favorites folder and drag and drop it into my project whenever I needed it.

Wouldn't that replace whatever else was there? Sorry if I'm being dumb and missing something..

I think the "record a crash" option that you suggested would be the easiest/most succesful, personally.

On the mixer page, top right drop-down you can change panning to audience perspective.

Awesome! Thanks for that. I missed it.

I had the EZ1.dll in a folder I named EZ Drummer. I removed it and replaced it with the EZ2.dll and all seems fine now. Should I delete EZ drummer solo and the EZ1.dll? I moved both to my desktop until someone (Mod Bod) says it's ok to delete both.

I suspect you're one of those folks who manually moved their EZdrummer.dll file at some time or another.  If you don't do Electronic drumming or want to use Superior drummer in TT Solo then you can uninstall it (not delete it, mind you.)  You can also delete your original EZdrummer.dll file as well.  You won't be able to uninstall that one, of course.

Yeah, I moved it. I will delete the original EZ1.dll and put TT solo back where it was. I do use the Roland Octapad some, but I don't have SD2.0.

I have a sub folder for all the TT stuff.
I had to "tell" EZD2 "where" EZD1 was.

Yeah, that wasn't a big problem. Easy fix. I like to have everything organized to my liking. So far I would say EZD2 is a huge advancement. I hope to spend more time tonight with the program and the youtube videos.

I miss the reverse panning button. I always mix from what would be the audience perspective, so everything is backwards. Sounds great. I love everything else so far.

If that feature is gone from EZD2, you can always use Channel Tools to reverse the stereo perspective.
Just saw the other response... never mind...

No way we were going to let the audience perspective flip go away.  It was simply a matter of where to put it on the interface.

I'm with you on that.  I like to have my DLLs in a folder called VST Plugins (note the space which is against the grain evidently) and I like to have the core samples and midi located on my Samples drive.  I hate running out of hard drive space and having to rearrange stuff later on.

When I've worked in SONAR in the past, I set up my midi drum performances in three tracks all routed to one instance of my TT product of choice.  One track was for grooves, one was for fills and one was a holding track that was sometimes muted where I stored odds and ends pieces of grooves waiting for assembly or clips of cymbals crashes and rides.  You could do the same sort of thing and drop your cymbal crash clips on that track.
