Yeah, that wasn't a big problem. Easy fix. I like to have everything organized to my liking. So far I would say EZD2 is a huge advancement. I hope to spend more time tonight with the program and the youtube videos.

I'm with you on that.  I like to have my DLLs in a folder called VST Plugins (note the space which is against the grain evidently) and I like to have the core samples and midi located on my Samples drive.  I hate running out of hard drive space and having to rearrange stuff later on.

Mine are in the VST folder, but I have sub folders like Toontrack, Klanghelm, Fab Filter ect. I like it that way better. EZ1 was in my Toontrack folder and EZD2 was by itself. EZ fix.

Old projects open with EZ 2 in place of EZ1.

I miss the reverse panning button. I always mix from what would be the audience perspective, so everything is backwards. Sounds great. I love everything else so far.

If that feature is gone from EZD2, you can always use Channel Tools to reverse the stereo perspective.
Just saw the other response... never mind...

It is still there. It is in a dropdown menu somewhere. I just saw it last night in the only 15 minutes I had to check out EZd 2. Time...

Is that the upgraded Electronic EXZ?  The old one was funky but had to decipher at times.

Yes it is. Much easier to figure out.

not to mention, you can now SCROLL thru the different drum sound choices.  Previously picking one, auditioning...picking..etc... was kind of a chore.  Now you just quickly click thru the choices as you're hearing them.  That TOTALLY makes that expansion MUCH more usable.  I'd would have paid $89 just for that, since I'm addicted to the EZX electronic.

Just completed (for now) my first song with EZ2 and I have to say... it's pretty great! With time this is going to be a lot quicker than my old way of working. Once I find where everything is and the new work flow gets to be a habit, This is going to save hours and hours. My second stupid question is...how do I take a clip and drag or stretch it, like a groove clip? I thought I could put the mouse on the edge of the clip and just drag it towards the right. I'm sure I'm missing something again. Back to youtube I go.

I have a problem I never had with EZ Drummer 1.

I have an Alesis DM5 MIDI drum kit I use to play parts of tracks in. Also it's going to be perfect for Tap-to-find. Now, when I close the Hi-Hat pedal, the Hi-Hat closes on EZ Drummer2, but opens, despite my left foot remaining on the pedal, on the first hit on the Hi-Hat trigger.

This never happened prior to EZD2, so before I go messing with the settings on the DM5 kit brain, I would like to know if there is a latch / momentary setting for the Hi-Hat on EZD2 that I need to change that I haven't found yet, despite looking...or indeed any fix as the kit is unusable until fixed as I can only play open Hi-Hat right now.

EDIT: I actually managed to fix this by setting the E-Drum kit up in EZD2 as 'None' instead of Alesis. Might be worth keeping this comment here for reference to anyone else who may have experienced this foible on updating EZ Drummer...

Just got my first take on this and I'm a little "underwhelmed" with all the hype I've been hearing.

The Song Creator is the biggest deal here..and that is nothing really, as you already had those options
before...this just puts them together for you in a convenient window...that and the EZKeys style
MIDI construction window for building your track, which you could do in the Track/PRV anyways.

Soundwise, AD2 sounds better.  Is it good? YES.  The hype...not so much.
Graphics are better.  Layout is better.  Sounds are good.  But I'm not getting what all the "Hype"
is about....sorry.  That's just me...it's a step forward for EZ Drummer...but,
to me,  EZ was way overdue anyways...and EZ was my first Drum Sampler.

There are some nice new things...more included kits being one of them.

Somewhat disappointed...

The thing I would probably end up using the most is the Song Creator, and that's really not even
necessary, as they were laid out like that originally in the browser, and this just puts
them all "in one place" making it easier to choose.  I guess it's a "time" saver, so to speak.
We'll probably see this feature in EZKeys 2.

I guess, with nothing to compare it to, it's awesome, but I have too much to compare
it to...

Maybe I need more time with it...

Is it worth the money....probably...

Makes it EZ to see why there wasn't a Demo before release...Glad I got to try it...

It still falls short of AD sample-wise IMO...as I would expect.  As for comparison to BFD, SD, and Slate Platinum, not even in the ballpark IMO, but I wouldn't expect it to be, as it's the "Low End" of the Toontrack Line of DS.

That's my 2 cents...

You can throw Rocks now...
