Will someone clarify, please! I use Superior. I do not have EZ at all and probably will not get EZ2. I do have a good number of the EZXs in my Superior library. I gather that the updated EZX audio librarys listed in my account are not going to benefit me to update. What about the updated midi librarys? Is there any point in installing those?

I'm thinking the "update" to the midi libraries makes them more "searchable" for EZD2.
Mod did say an update to SD2 is on its way so that SD2 could use the new EZD2 kits.
I think that's what he said.
My guess is SD3? (or maybe the "player") will incorporate expanded search functions not unlike EZD2.

No SD3 on the way, just an update as reported on the last video blog which is available on YouTube.

There have been normal updates to EZXs and midi libraries as a normal course of events over the past years.  I would think that any EZX update available for you to download would be OK for the Superior drummer users.  Worse case, I would think, is that you could lose some functionality until Superior Drummer 2 is updated.  That said, I don't think Toontrack would have anything available for download that is going to cause them extra expense in customer support.

So does the "update" include advanced search functionality?
Or are you sworn to secrecy?
Of, course why would they do that (advanced search), until the "buzz" on EZD2 subsides.
Surely EZD2 was developed at substantial cost...

Up and running - first thing, I can't seem to locate the option to select kits. I can select mixer presets which will load the appropriate kit, but I can't seem to find the menu which allows you to pick, say either the Vistalite or the 60's Ludwig...

The manual is of no help thus far - I certainly hope there's something I'm overseeing. I don't care for mixer presets, but some of the kits I own like The Classic offered 4 different kits, and I'd like to be able to easily pick say, the Yamaha or the Craviotto.

This hadn't occurred to me last night when I played with EZdrummer2 for the first time.  It would be a big deal for me, too.  When Mod Bod didn't answer this query I panicked that maybe it couldn't be done.

Then I remembered something I saw in one of the webinars.

Open the kit you want, click on the arrow on a drum, and choose the "Kit" drop down menu.  You can then load any of the default kits.

HTH

Love it so far.

For the sake of clarification to the forum members, please don't interpret my lack of response to a question as a yes or a no.  During the day, I'm tending my plastics empire and at night I sometimes have sessions.  So when I get a chance to log on, I scan the forum but I might miss someone's question from time to time.

I also reserve the right to not reply to a question if it's something that someone can get an answer easily from a video or program documentation.  I do that instead of posting RTFM.  If it's apparent that you can't find the answer through your efforts, I'll usually show some mercy and post.

They are pretty "Johnny on the Spot" Clint.  The delay is due to Toontrack
Serial#'s having to be "manually" applied for.  You'll get it pretty quick...
