Another one - just downloaded - whilst not exactly a Mellotron, very interesting and lots of tweaks can be done - I liked the sound quite a bit.

It sounds like another repackaging of the http://www.leisureland.us/audio/MellotronSamples/MellotronSamples.htm mentioned in #20 and in the thread I posted in #8 which contains links to sfz files for the samples. Many of the free mellotron plug-ins use these samples albeit with different EQ, looping and other effects.

Thanks for these links. Downloading Expressive Tron. Will take my limited brain some work to understand the progression of the wav to sfz files from the leisureland wavs.
 
The data set from all the trons was (is) limited. Anything that can throw some envelopes and modulation into the finite set is worth exploring to craft that signature sound into present day productions..
 
My secret tool for really driving the lo fi ambiance of a Mellotron to extremes is an ancient plug, placed downstream from the tron. Either you have this already or it is so old to be forgotten. So 2000's, but check a tron with Spinner out of the box downstream. Beautiful and can't find any mix where this doesn't fit. Hope this link works:
