Voxengo SPAN version 2.5 update is now available for download.  SPAN is a free real-time “fast Fourier transform” audio spectrum analyzer plugin for professional music and audio production applications.  For the most part it was derived from Voxengo GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer and reproduces its spectrum analysis functionality.  SPAN is available in AudioUnit and VST plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support), for Mac OS X (v10.5 and later), and Windows computers.

List of changes in version 2.5:

• Crash issue reported in Apple Logic Pro fixed.
• If secondary spectrum is active, the delta between primary and secondary spectrums at cursor position is now displayed.

• DC filter issue with oversampling switch fixed.

Updated Span. Looks a little easier on the eyes to me!

version 2.8 update is now available for download. Voxengo Voxformer 
is a multi-functional vocal channel strip plugin for professional 
audio production applications, available in AudioUnit and VST 
plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support), for Mac OS X 
(v10.5 and later), and Windows computers. 

Changes that version 2.8 implements: 

* The EQ curve is now hidden when the equalizer is set to "Off". 
* Spectrum mode presets are now shared between all Voxengo plug-ins. 

The coolest feature of Voxformer is its one-knob vocal compressor. 
Using only a single knob, you can get a tight, open and definitive 
professional vocal sound with an excellent articulation in no time. 
You do not have to worry about common ratio and make-up gain 
controls since they are automatically selected by the advanced 
compression algorithm while attack and release parameters are stored 
in a mode preset. Moreover, Voxformer features two compressors of 
this type, allowing you to apply either a two-band or a two-stage 
(serial) vocal compression.

It's about time Alexsey put in 1/9th-octave smoothing! My gosh, how could he have overlooked that feature for so long? You know, for those times when 1/6th-octave smoothing is just too coarse.
 
(Kidding, of course. Love SPAN and thrilled that it's still being enhanced.)
 
One of the more curious enhancements is the right-click copy to clipboard feature. So many things a programmer might want to do with a right-click event, it's surprising that he'd squander it on such an obscure feature.
 
So I had to try it out. It does indeed place a text string of the frequency you're currently pointing to into the clipboard. I assume this is to allow you to paste a precise frequency into an equalizer's settings.
