Fascinating place by the look of it.

Here is where it started.

It was a very active period for around 35 yrs.
Around 1985 Uranium production ceased. I took part
for the last 7-8 years of it.

Any "super powers" I achieved I'm unaware of but I have
many amazing memories about the people and production process.

I have toured the mining museum. Nothing like the real thing but it's
as close as one can get now.

Did you have to wear protective clothing to mine that stuff Michael?  Sounds scary when something that's invisible to your eyes can kill ya!

No Craig, not in the mining process but we did wear badges in the milling.

I don't remember anybody being sent home for over exposure. It seems there was one in the lab but
I can't say for sure.

Radiation is everywhere and levels vary. There are many invisible things for people to worry about if they think
that will help.
I can say that one thing that wasn't invisible and could kill one is being a miner.
It's without doubt not something that everyone can handle, understandably, but I'm glad I could and did.
It's very physical and can be just to much of a mental trip for some.
It was also very good money. There were many major companies involved.

I was young with no fear...played Gibson guitars up until mining shut down...LOL. Maybe Fenders replaceable
necks started making sense LOL.
