All of the SampleTank instruments are $29 right now...

As they should be.  Although some of the sounds are still useful, they are not worth near their original retail costs ate this point.

That's why I stated in the ST 3 thread, unless the upgrade is $29 or less...I'm out....LOL

I'm probably the only one on the planet that doesn't have the full version of SampleTank (I have all the other synths + all the libraries). I don't know if it's worth $29 just to be eligible for the for ST3 upgrade of which I have most of what ST3 is offering........not sure if the all these costs is worth to just get 64bit? (or just go with jbridge and be done with it).  

Also noticed that Miroslav CE (the smaller version) is going for $79.

If I remember correctly, any of the ST products will qualify you for the upgrade...
But I think there will be "tiers" i.e...if you own one $XX, if you own 2 $XX, 3 $XX, etc...

Who knows...at this point, with Komplete, I'm good to go...if I buy anything, it will be the upgrade to Ultimate
at the next half off sale....unless I get ST3 for $29...that would be worth it just to get 64 bit...

IK needs to think about selling "Just the Interface" for dirt cheap, that will still use the old samples...
and THEN if you want the NEW Samples pay $xx....that would be the SMART thing to do....which is why they
won't do it....

I don't see why they can't just update the ST engine (for free) to 64 and join the rest of civilization??
 
Yeah!! Selling just the interface would be a "smart" thing to do for all the loyal customers (if they even considered this), and they'd still get a bit of revenue from doing this. This also is a much better system than a complicated tier system which may leave a lot of folks unhappy (when they compare products/tier prices).

Anyways...VaporWare 3 is still nowhere to be seen, heard, or found...other then
the long old promos....

I don't have ST. The free version made my PC freeze so I never bothered.

They (ST Instruments) didn't like my QuadCapture ASIO driver at all...
They wouldn't work at all in Stand Alone mode...
But since I switched to the Forte everything has been smooooth sailing (knock on wood)!

Even for the 32 bit ST Instruments....

What's the latency like?

Forte shows effective latency of 5 ms....

FWIW, I don't have ST either.   I tried the free version a few times some years ago, and while it seemed to work OK on my system I really did not like UI.  The included sounds didn't much for me either, so between the two I just never bothered.   And having bought Komplete 9 I don't see me ever doing so now...
