Maybe it's an X3 thing. I use X2 mostly. I'm working on getting a track ready for export. It will take me a while to get my ducks in a row as I'm changing the drums from AD1 to AD2. I'll get back to you.

I exported everything out as audio wav files and everything works perfectly. I'm not seeing a benefit to ArdourXchange.

My drums export fine. The guitars and bass are a mess. Wrong order, wrong volumes, freezing doesn't work so I have to bounce down to audio. I would rather export the audio (wav) files and leave Amplitube and Markbass as is. Glad it works for most, but this goes into the regret basket here.

Clint, Are you using OMF version 2?

Yeah, I've tried about everything in the export options. I don't know whats up. I did e-mail about getting a refund...(I haven't registered Xchange) and they are very helpful in that regard. They said it may take a few days. Very high marks for the support from both companies involved.

Clint's difficulties with this plugin illustrate a benefit to being able to demo something before you buy.  As far as I know, the Mixbus plugins cannot be demoed.  Major drawback, in my book.

Cheers,
Eddie

Omf issues typically (but not always) rooted with the expprting program. Markzano (sp?) and I had a hard time getting the x3 demo project to export as OMF properly. I cannot stress enough that doing anything beyond simple cuts and fades can cause issues. Inserting any vsts or vsti's may lead to more trouble shooting than its worth. Track, trim and export is safest route.

I'm guessing it's my fault. I probably have something not setup right for this, but I don't want to change anything major just to get this to work. I remember changing my (freeze settings) so that when I make a change it doesn't revert back to the pre-freeze state. I can't remember how to change that setting, but I like it the way it is...so It doesn't matter if that is the culprit or not. I'm very impressed with everything Mixbus so far. The sound, the stability, the service and the price. Best deal I've got in a very long time.

If I'm not mistakeni think I ended up doing a massive freeze and bounce of all tracks to get a working OMF file.

I have been playing with mixbus (couldn't pass up the 19.95 even though I'm still not sure if I'm sold on it).

Try turning off all the effects, there's a button below the metronome buttons for that, and then try the OMF export.

I had a thought also about track order. Is it possible that tracks may be placed in order of where their busses are? I have my project set up so everything is lined up left to right and that holds true for the busses as well and the tracks relationship to the bus. Hopefully that made sense.
