Here is a Norwegian comedy group making fun of the Danish Language, it`s mostly in English with a Danish like accent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-mOy8VUEBk.

(If there are any Danes here I hope you have good sense of humour).

GEICO is the name of the company, not Geiko.  it's an acronym:  Government Employees Insurance Company.

a Gecko is a type of lizard which is supposedly modelled for the company mascot of GEICO.  and while there are many varieties of geckos in the world, the ones which live on my patio and in my mailbox don't look anything like the one on TV which appears to be approximately 6' to 8" tall, is primarily green and walks on two feet.

Geckos in our area are rust colored (helps them hide in the clay/sandy soil) no stripes or spots and definitely do not have a New Zealand accent.  Maybe a slight Latin flavor, but most definitely American.

The GEICO Gecko featured on TV would be approximately 6" to 8" tall, not six feet to eight inches tall.

In addition, I don't want to know how you would know that the Geckos in your area have a Latin flavor. I prefer not to speculate.

Didn't Rode get their start by modding Asian (Chinese) mics? Then later started to manufacture their own mics.
I never seem to her anything bad about the NT-1 .. I guess that is good.

Yes, as Spinal Tap also discovered, correctly distinguishing between ' for feet and " for inches is important.

They are still manufactured in Shanghai. At least the NT1's are. Want to hear something bad? Accidentally bump or tap the stand while you're recording. On a high-end mike that'll produce an editable "thunk". On the NT1 it's more of a sustained "boink" because the body has all the mass of a beer can.

Still, I happen to like the NT1. I just don't hold it in my hand while using it.

When the first came out, I believe they were white... I jumped on it as it was the leader of the pack of LDC hitting the scene, if I remember.  It was honky sounding and I think I sent it back to Musicians Friend, or wherever I got it, within a week.  I then got a MXL2001....or it was the other way around.   Just as bad.  I really tried to use them on stuff, as I'm really not that picky about mics.  But mine had the sound like it was having phase cancellation ...or in big metal room...  Not that extreme, but hints of that kind of sound.  Another item in that "era" was the ART MP *tube* mic preamp.  It was horrible too.  Maybe I get the junk, that was returned previously!

Thinking more... maybe it was the NT1A...and even a different model.   But nowadays, lots of people seem to like the NT1.
