Hi,
hope the driver will be ready soon.
Even older products from Roland/Edirol like the M-16DX already have Windows 8 - Drivers, and the MIDI-Controller-Keyboards like the A800 Pro too.

So come on please.

Hi,

I tried several methods with the old driver as described, but no sucess. The Problem is with the digital signature after modifying the old driver. I know that there are ways to solve this problem, for example with the key F8 while booting, but I don't want to do that all the time I use the VS-100.

So Cakewalk/Roland, please go on with the driver for the VS-100. We`re all waiting for it.

Hi,
now I saw this banner on the top of the homepage with the announcement of new drivers for Roland hardware. But no Drivers for the VS-100 yet. But drivers for older hardware, like the PCR-M1, which I soled a few weeks ago (now I have a A-Pro 800 with W8 drivers). This keyboard controller is quite older than the VS-100, so I hope the VS-100 will be the next in the line.

Yeah, I think it's probably time to get the driver out... The UA-101 had a driver day one, I think, so, you know, what's the hold up?

I really hope this isn't going the route of stopping support on the VS-100. Given users are able to make the drivers work with modifications to BS driver signing code within the driver makes me think that could be what's happening, as that isn't a hard thing to modify in creating a new Windows 8 driver.
Of course, I can't and don't know; maybe Roland is working on making the drivers better or something? Maybe it's in QA? Dunno. Regardless, surprised it wasn't part of day one W8 drivers. Does the VS-100 have a lower priority because it's related to Cakewalk rather than being a straight Roland product? I'll quit ranting and go back to using my Axe FX II drivers, as they work great without any modifications after updating to Windows 8...

I second the above posts...my 32-bit to 64-bit conversion is on hold until I can get ahold of the VS-100 windows 8 drivers. Please expedite!

Yikes. Not looking great on the V-Studio driver front... Here's a response from Roland US:

From Roland Support (US): We have sent a request for Windows 8 drivers to our corporate Roland, BOSS and Cakewalk headquarters in Japan. At this time, we do not have any information regarding when they plan to release them. Sincerely, Roland Product Support

I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

Hello,

I've tried it as described from shambolic, but I have to deacticate the driver signature every time, not only once for the Installation.
The installation works fine, but after reboot the vs-100 is not working, because of the missing digital signature.

So I hope for a working driver asap.

Kind regards,
T. Finkbeiner
