Here is link to a site where the idea is explained better and there is also mentioned amd problem:
https://pcmonitors.info/a...n-nvidia-and-amd-gpus/ This is a little trick which lets you get better image quality if you have a HD LCD display and Nvidia's graphics adapter and you use HDMI connection. This is not like brand new info so you might have heard about this already but I just heard about this a couple of days ago. For some reason Nvidia has treated HD LCD monitors like HD tv:s which has made the HD LCD displays not show full spectrum of RGB colors when used the HDMI port. Colors are thus like washed out although I must confess I have not noticed a huge difference. This tip will fix it. In the new drivers Nvidia has added a thing called Dynamic Range control, which lets you use the full RGB color range for
applications on HD displays. You'll
find the option by going to Nvidia
Control Panel > Display > Adjust
Desktop Color Settings. There you need to select the setting 0-255. Unfortunately I am not at my computer so I cannot better advise how to do this. There have been unofficial tricks to do similar stuff but this is the official way. Remember you need newish drivers to do this.
