I'm getting blank players on sound click …on u tube I'm getting a plugin failure dialog box inside the player 
 
is anybody else having this problem ?

I uninstalled the Adobe update and went back a version ...problem solved for now .
 
Adobe, for the record I  don't do the 3 strikes rule like in Baseball  …
burn me once and your out  now go eff yourself  you freaking monopoly

Same thing happened to me Kenny and I had to do the same as you. I have Windows 7.  Actually it happened twice and one time I did a restore that fixed it.

I'm glad you got through it and you got back up to speed  
my main DAW is Windows and I won't even put it online ….I learned that lesson the hard way 
I went through 3 online windows computers while my XP DAW has survived 10years offline and is still running strong 
my W 8 DAW only goes online to update music software only nothing else 
 
too many games and hoops to jump through seem to be going on online with some of these companies … 
they know they are the only game in town since they have the whole market as it is 
I was having the hardest time just getting u tube to play a video for a long while on my online computer 
the load times were ridiculous  and I couldn't even get a vid to play all the way through 
then I found out about this little thing they have going on …w u tube

Now , I have to manually switch players to watch a vid   
 
I'm just glad I was able to solve the problem for now …..makes me wonder if I need to get a back up machine just for online 
 
sorry folks for the rant ….this whole thing caught me off guard …..

A lot of videos and other media is now adding a message to the window that you need to update Adobe Flash Player... you don't. If that is what you did, maybe you should scan with Malwarebytes. I get it ALL THE TIME, I just close it and play whatever it was I was going to play. If you need to update Adobe Flash Player you'll get a popup window when you restart your computer... and maybe that is what you got... I got one yesterday but I don't think I did it and I didn't get it today. In any case, maybe this will help someone... I'm glad things are working right for you now.

Plus, what Julien said above is another big thing.  Any time you visit a website and it tells you to update your Flash player, make sure you DON'T update it (just close the window) or there's a very good chance you've just downloaded something bad.

Yes , I see those type of things all the time …
those I just treat just like …...nice try , I'm not gonna bite the bait on this hook  
what I got was an actual update from Adobe ….after doing it I was not happy
it turns out that…. so are a lot of other folks that are on older Macs …
my second post has a link regarding the issues …it's all good after an uninstall and reinstall of the version I had

I hear you bro , I had my preferences set up to notify me ….but not to install unless I chose to install ..
this is a big reason why I was pissed ….it was in fact and update of the flash player from Adobe and it looked harmless enough ….
according to what I found out online , my machine is not compatible with this update and they have even stated that it might be some time before they sort it out ….
I changed my preferences w Adobe to not check for updates …..
 
 
at the moment I'm just glad to be done w this thing for now

I have no problem with anything playing music.
 Did you download it from Adobe??
It is version 13.0.0.182 on my computer for Adobe Flash.
4/11/14 is the date that installed on my computer.

the rub is the updated flash player is not compatible my online computer which happens to be an older I Mac ...
thats it in a nutshell ….I'm glad you didn't have a problem ..
