I'm sorely tempted...

I'd promised to report back when I received the replacement pads that Larry had found on eBay. They came in today and I'm using them as I write this.

In short, they arrived within the promised time frame (all the way from China), fit well and feel great. No more scratchiness. A little difficult to install. (Reminded me of the first time I tried to install a rubber, which required the assistance of my girlfriend and even with four hands it took so long that it would have killed the mood if we hadn't both been 15 and totally hopped up on hormones.)

The headphones feel tighter on my head now. Could be the old ones had become squishier over time and the new ones are stiffer. The new ones feel like they're providing a tighter seal, and isolation seems to have improved somewhat.

They also sound different now. Not bad, just slightly less bright. It's not a huge difference, and I probably wouldn't even notice if I hadn't been listening to these headphones every day for 8 years. I suppose this might also be explained by the stiffer, tighter seal.

Thanks again for the tip, Larry.

So do the replacement pads come per-lubricated?

Tried it but it always says I have $0 credit in my cart. :(       I went for it anyway.  $79 is still great.   Thanks cclarry!

I'd contact them VV.  They'll give you a hassle at first, but, since it's your first order, they'll give
you the credit.

Me too. I even tried signing up with 2 different emails and got 2 different $10 credit codes sent to me, only to be shown 'Code is Invalid' both times.

I thought, "Huh - that's rich, considering these are the exact codes that nomorerack sent to me - unaltered in anyway."

So I tried a live chat, but that didn't go anywhere.

If anyone deserves the $10, it's you Larry.

In fact, I think that you should get anywhere from even just $1-5 dollars for each thing we've all purchased here over the years. Just imagine how much that'd be by now.

So sorry Bud - the one time really I wanted you to get this kickback fee - it just didn't work - either time.

But as always, thanks anyways Larry. You're the King!

JR...

I don't know what this "Code" is....the $10 shows up in your shopping cart as a Credit.

Just put something in the cart.  In the center of the "Cart" screen will be a GREEN Credits heading
with amount of available credit in BLUE.

You just click the "apply" button and it's applied to the order.

I've never gotten a code.

But hey I'm glad that people are using this. If I don't get the credit (and I haven't btw)
it's not biggie.  I just couldn't believe they were selling these at this price.

I love mine...IJS...

I sent a message via their support page.  We'll see what happens.

Same experience here but I ended up getting the $10 credit.
