6. Remember, half the people you know are below average.

Unfortunately, half the people they know are below average, discounting slart's thesis.

I have higher standards so I think 90% are below average.

100% of the drivers on any given highway at any moment in time are morons. I calculated this statistic while sitting in traffic this morning. After I got off the road, I realized that calculation would indicate that I am a moron, as well. Not one to dispute well reasoned analysis, I concluded that I really shouldn't listen to myself before I've had at least two mugs of coffee.

You can't believe everything you tell yourself.

Just when you think everything is fine, you run into a statistic that just cant be disputed.

16. When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

I have tried different coping strategies to try and keep my blood pressure down on the highway.
I had to change my expectations  to almost zero and then tell myself that while what happens isn't anticipated it's expected....even then though sometimes I get a curve ball. I could close my eyes but I'm not trained in the art of blind driving.

that would be so hard to do.

just this morning I was frustrated with a new caddilac doing 35 in a 45 in the left lane of a boulevard.  then he turned onto the interstate just the same way I was going and was doing 40 on the interstate.  I was blocked for a long time until I could get around him because everything else around us was moving at 60+.

something happens every time I drive to pi$$ me off.  I wish I could shut it off like you're describing.  I'd be happier, I'm sure.

Unless of course, your driving at the speed of dark.... No one will see you!

I drive at the speed of dork. My passengers always hide their faces so they won't be recognized. Even the goats look embarrassed.

I can drive ok with one eye closed, I'm not good enough yet with both shut......

Beagle I think it is comes with the territory. My strategy has helped but not eliminated it.

I have the opposite problems usually. I'm running 70mph and some dude who thinks his vehicle influences the length of his anatomy is pushing my tail in  his extensioner. I'm saying to myself..please don't rear end me and if you do please kill me because I don't want to go to jail for murder....I really wish I was an undercover state cop sometimes.
