I can drive ok with one eye closed, I'm not good enough yet with both shut......

Beagle I think it is comes with the territory. My strategy has helped but not eliminated it.

I have the opposite problems usually. I'm running 70mph and some dude who thinks his vehicle influences the length of his anatomy is pushing my tail in  his extensioner. I'm saying to myself..please don't rear end me and if you do please kill me because I don't want to go to jail for murder....I really wish I was an undercover state cop sometimes.

well - I only gave you today's example!  I've had that problem also.

another problem I have is that we have a traffic circle on the hiway on my way to work.  the traffic circle does not follow conventional traffic circle merging guidelines.  those coming into and out of the circle from the highway get right of way and those coming into or leaving on the other 2 roads are supposed to yield.

people do NOT pay any attention to the yield signs and I nearly get broadsided about once every 2 weeks from someone barrelling thru the yield sign coming into the circle from one of the non-right of way roads!

My horn works.

Over the years, I've learned to practice patience with everyone/anyone on the road and it has helped to keep me calm without overreacting the stupid things people attempt behind the wheel. I expect people to do stupid things on the road, and generally, they're very compliant with this. I get really shocked/confused when someone is courteous and offers to let me in.

Starise, maybe you could use a sign???

Best strategy for dealing with bad driving is to spend some time in Cairo, then everywhere else seems calm and orderly. Even my Egyptian friends agree with this.

8. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

I'm guessing whoever thought that one up never suffered with it.

100% of the drivers on any given highway at any moment in time are morons. I calculated this statistic while sitting in traffic this morning. After I got off the road, I realized that calculation would indicate that I am a moron, as well. Not one to dispute well reasoned analysis, I concluded that I really shouldn't listen to myself before I've had at least two mugs of coffee.

You can't believe everything you tell yourself.

This is exactly why I work from home (that and the fact that there aren't any coworkers around to steal my becan).

I was attempting to say that but you did it so much better.

I hear you Beagle on the driving/traffic/drivers issues. I think we see a lot of the same things.

I can't imagine driving in Cairo.....I'm the type that really doesn't like to venture out at all,at least not there.
