It seems pretty steep. $199 is their "special price" according to the email I got. Not worth it...as far as I can tell, all you're getting is a couple more instruments, more articulations and the ability to play instruments solo, WHICH admittedly is a major advantage over the regular version, but I happen to think that for the money, the regular version should have been able to play solo lines too. But, if it's solo horns you're after, then surely there are better libraries out there for a similar price or even cheaper? 

I jumped to listen to the demos, BUT at $199; I quickly clicked out!

I wouldn't even sew my ears back on if I had sliced them off to hear it at that price.

Like the first version these sound really weak & lacking.
Their demos are usually poor so maybe they sound better when tweaking them yourself.

NI's demo tracks have always been lacking. Bear in mind though that Session Horns are way more tweakable than the controls and presets on the interface - as with any Kontakt instrument, if you open it up in edit mode (full version of Kontakt only) you can tweak it as much as you like. For instance with Session Horns they give you a lot of mix presets, but in my experience none of them are really want in terms of instrument placement, EQ etc. However in edit mode you can mix each part of the section exactly how you want it. Kontakt has some great ITB effects. I presume you can send each horn part out to the multi-outs as well but I haven't tried it yet.

NO ONE CAN KEEP UP WITH THE BAPU'S....

It's like trying to bend the spoon...don't try to bend the spoon...that's impossible....

Instead, only realize the truth....there is NO SPOON!

And NO KEEPING UP WITH THE BAPU'S!
