AD2 doesn't have that map though...you have to install it. Right? I did.

Correct...if you don't have the old one, you'd have to build it and save here in the Map window...

I have the map on my desktop now. You guys can PM me and I'll e-mail to you...if it's possible. I can't seem to find a way to post a link here at the moment.

I bought EZD2 this morning and installed it. I only had about 45 min. To play with it before the wifey got up...that kind of ended my adventure for the morning.

So far though, I like a lot of the upgrades. I think the DW Kit sounds pretty good. I would say good enough that I might not want to flip it to AD after creating my song midi structure. I, of course, won't know until I have a new song in the works and many of the instruments tracked to see how it sits in the mix. Soloing it up though, not bad at all. I flipped through some of the individual kit choices and have already discovered which pieces by themselves I prefer. I have always really liked the cymbal, ride and hats sounds that come out of EZD. Toms sounded really good. Snare had nice punchy tones. The kick has always been my biggest issue with EZD, in that it always had more of a beater tone to it and less thump or bass tone. The kick seemed much improved to me.

I did the tap tempo test right away and that is going to be really handy. I had no trouble with the tempo sinc'ing with the temp set on my song template; since to host worked great.

You would like the Rock! kit. The kick drum thumps on that one. It's very compressed and loud, but now you can easily right click on the Kick and turn it down without effecting the mixer or velocity settings. There is a multiout bug with EZD2, but you can get very good results with the simple midi track option (Toontrack will fix it). Later if you get AD2...you can try the midi there and see what you prefer.

I am guessing I would like the Rock! kit as well, Clint.  Many have said the Nashville one is mighty fine too.  I read about the multiout issue on the threads and tried that as well.  Yep, it needs some patching up there.  I can work with it the way it is for now and I am sure they are all over the multiout issue.
