Well, the good news is that they gave me a coupon code so I could get the entire Fairfax for $20. The bad news is this install is proving to be a nightmare.

I'm pretty sure the problem is that all the sound files are on my C drive. Now I know why my C drive is so full. Apparently there are 94gb of them for AD and AD2. I used to have AD on my D drive. I went into the installer and it said I could move something but the sound files are still on the C drive. Grrrrrrr

This is probably why I'm having that noise and crashes.

I was going to ask about this too as I had a similar prob........

When I set up AD1 (in March 04), I put my VST's on my C: drive and samples on the D: drive......however, I see that the installer has sample on the C: drive and when trying to move them via the installer, I got some error message. WIll take a closer look tonight.....

I had to try a few times to get it to move but in the end, it moved. The only problem is now the installer is putting them on the desired drive but I think the original files are still on the C drive. Does anyone know the original path? I forgot to make a note of it.

Well, I got rid of the clicking sound, like a guitar plugging into a live amp, and now I have this static. I can't use individual outs either. No sound through them at all. My nightmare goes on. After I moved everything, the AD installer said I had 22 things to repair. Every time I clicked to repair them, it took forever and still did not repair them. I tried repairing them one by one and that worked. I had the static before all of that which did not start until I set the individual outs. grrrrrrrrrrr. I wish their forum was still there.
