Thanks southpaw3473 but how do I get Mixbus to see my 32 bit plug-ins? When I do a VST scan it only shows the plugs included with Mixbus...

Launched it for a while...managed to insert a track ;-) Not much more...
Does it support VSTi's???

Yes. You have to set paths in preferences, and install them with the plugin manager.

VSTi's as in VST instruments?  No, it does not.  It does support 32-bit VST effects, but not instruments.

Geo, you need to set the path to your 32-bit plugins in preferences.

Not trying to be a killjoy but I sometimes wonder if the Mixbuss buzz is partially placebo effect.  I know the last weave of praise prompted me to ask someone for a sample of a mix that had actually been improved  but most of the responses I got were similar to what one gets when a believer in a psychic is asked for proof. A lot of "you just have to hear for yourself".  Not saying it's not true, but I just someone could show an example.

I've sat here for the past 3 days doing all kinds of A B tests with Mixbux and for me no there is no placebo effect .

over at the Gearsluts forum they have a Mixbus thread that is something like 80 +, pages long which I started to read through ….
somewheres around page 9 someone posted mix comparisons on a few short clips …
anyway by the time I heard those clips my mind was already made up because I had already had spent a lot of time
doing my own tests ….

Yeah, it's real, whatever it is. Call it mojo (or HoJo if you like 28 flavors!). The thing for me is its ease of use. the EQs are very, very good, the comps on each track have a great sound and feel and it's very flexible routing-wise. It's very quick to get a good sound. I like quick and easy.

I'm not really interested in Mixbus as a DAW much. Sonar is all I need for anything I can throw at it. Mixbus is just another color. A very pretty one, though

Man, there were a lot of "very"s in that last post. Adjective challenged before coffee I guess.

You can route the Sonar stems into Mixbus like a tape recorder.

Though I'd love that to be the case, I'm not so sure if that will work.  From the quote you posted: "On Windows, a simplified version of JACK is installed for use by Mixbus, which other applications do not see."

I hope I'm mistaken.
