I tried the link above using internet explorer and it threw and error and then the "add to cart" button did not show up on the product page. Once I tried it in firefox then it worked fine and the orange add to cart button showed up properly.

Not sure what your problem is, but IE works just fine for me with Win 8.1

Thanks Mike for the heads up.  And to the other posters for the various routing options.

Ahh!  Thanks bapu!

I wonder if anyone has had any luck getting it to work the other way (Sonar into Mixbus.)

How many MixBuss threads are there?
So far I have successfully avoided purchasing it.
I'm not sure I can hold out much longer!

Hi Tom, For $19.95 it's worth getting. So far I like Mixbus although some of the editing features are very cumbersome to me. No midi and not being 64 bit are the downsides although not a deal breaker. They will probably add midi and go 64 bit at some point? As a DAW MB needs more development but as a mixer it's pretty cool. Admittedly I'm not hearing much of a difference at all between Sonar and MB. There's a reason I've been hooked on Sonar for so long.

Yep. It works both ways. I inserted stereo tracks in Mixbus and set their inputs. Set my drum bus OUTS in Sonar to an OUT and patched that to the in selected in Mixbus. It worked perfectly. This is very handy. I can even patch out of Sonar into Mixbus and back into Sonar.

Thanks for the reply Southpaw.  Are you talking about software patching with Jack, or hardware patching with multiple interfaces?  I'm interested in routing everything through software, but I don't seem to see the ports I need to assign using Jack and Mixbus.  I'm usually not so easily confused! :)

You can do both. I use a patchbay (a physical one) to route ins and outs. Jack lets you assign any track/bus/master to any I/O.

Thanks southpaw.

I've had no luck trying to route audio from Sonar into Mixbus "in-the-box".  I ended up downloading a separate Jack-only install (Jack_v1.9.9_64_setup.exe) which gave me the "Jack PortAudio" and "Jack Control" applications which didn't come with the Mixbus download.  (Unless I missed something?  Did you have to download and install Jack Control separately too?)  However I still cannot get Sonar to recognize any Jack/Mixbus ports and vice-versa.

Hmm, I'm just now wondering if I need to use the 32-bit version of Jack since Mixbus is 32-bit.  I thought I'd need the 64-bit version of Jack Control since I'm using 64-bit SONAR X3, but maybe that's not the case.  I'll have to try out the 32-bit version of Jack when I get back to my DAW.

In the meantime, any suggestions, hints, or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Steve posted another link in the Coffee House forum. There is another deal until or through the 10th to get a couple of plugins for 10 bucks. It is not the link in the OP, scroll down in the thread and you'll find it. I think there is promo code.

Kenn,
What are you using for an interface? I have a MOTU Track 16 with a Focusrite Octo Dynamic connected via ADAT. I simply select the output for track in Sonar I want to send to Mixbus. In MB I select the input and yer off. I do physically patch the I/O via a patchbay. I don't think Jack is full featured for Windows. I might be wrong about that but I think it's a Mac thingy.
