I've been trying to find a good comprehensive funk midi pack, but I haven't found much out there. I know the EZX has midi and XLN has a small midi pack. Does anyone have both or ideas on some good midi files. I didn't much at Groove monkee or platinum samples.

One more great thing about EZD2 (there are many). You can demo the available midi from Toontrack. I think I may add the Back Beats pack and create what I'm looking for from it.

YES...that is a nice thing....I REALLY don't like buying things based on the "Samples" on the site...
as you have no idea WHAT they have done to them or how they were "processed" so, not that
that effects the MIDI...but you get the idea....

Clint, I see that you and another member mentioned this. As I don't have my main PC hooked up to the net, I am not able to take advantage of this feature. And I have never installed EZD on more than one PC.

However, since I have had EZD2, I have come up with two or three new songs using the new features. And since I already have a few TT Midi packs, and I like them, I think I will load EZD2 on my net PC just to be able to try the ones I want. I am looking at a few right now, the second Songwriters pack and the first NY pack.

It's a great feature and it will help them sell more midi packs. To finish this thread...I bought "Back Beats midi and I bought the Funk adpak for Addictive drums 1. I also bought Retro. Now I must save for the eventual AD2 upgrade. This weekend I also traded for Indie and Black Velvet for AD1. Grand total I spent $50 (and Rob Papen Delay) for four AD adpaks. Now that they are $80 a piece, this seems like the smart thing to do.

From what I can see with the new AD beat browser you should have an easier time using your other midi content in AD2.

I have loads of Groove Monkey clips. I agree they're not that good "as is," however as a foundation to customize to your own needs, they're great.

But my absolute favorite use for them is as groove templates in Jamstix. Just load them as a style in a Jamstix part and you'll hear some of the best funk drumming in a VST.
