Not that I would need win 8 drivers (yet) but I just realized that Roland released win 8 drivers for the Octa-Capture (v.1.5.1 on 2012-10-26), which is probably now their most supported interface.
 
Let's keep an eye open if they also provide win 8 drivers for the VS-700 in the coming days. That should give us a hint of how much support for the VS-700 there still is ...
 
 

Haven't heard anything yet, but yeah, I'd like those drivers too.

We have sent a request for Windows 8 drivers to our corporate Roland, BOSS and Cakewalk headquarters in Japan.

It's a decades old Roland Corp pattern for VS products.
