Hey everyone,

I have to say the Upsampling on Render feature is awesome. I tried it with Absynth and Massive, the difference was quite clear. When enabled, the high end wasn't as cluttered, the upper harmonics of the sound were clearer. I can see how, over the course of a production, that can really impact the clarity and definition of a mix.

I heard that this feature might not be ideal for all plug-ins. In fact, I came across this article:

I wasn't sure what to think, which is why I ran some tests.

That being said, I wanted to know how everyone was getting along with the new feature. Were there plug-ins that suffered from enabling it? Were there others that saw a significant improvement? Were there other things that came to mind when using the feature? Let me know.

I haven't tested a lot of plugs yet, but so far I like what I hear. Fab Filter Time delay I can hear a difference. IK plate reverb shows some improvement also. Both have, as you say the upper frequency was cleaner in the repeats and reverb tail.

I think this was a brilliant idea on the Dev Team's part. You can work in 44k and bounce to higher sample rates later. What more could you ask for?!

Brilliant idea indeed, I am looking forward to mixing with all of that space in the highs. It will be glorious. I'm wondering if there are any plug-ins that would respond negatively to the upsampling.
