I've stated this before, much to many's chagrin....
The ProChannel is nothing more then a "glorfied" FX bin preceding the regular FX bin...
It's a VST FX Bin with a "proprietary" interface format....nothing more...nothing less...it's not some miraculous
"Thing". If there were 2 FX bins you'd have the same thing...one in on top of the other.
Is it a good idea...YES...I like being able to see the interface without "clicking" to open it.
Is it anything more then then Slates VMR? Nope....All VMR is is a VST Container in a proprietary format.
These things aren't "miracles" their just ways to make money...end of story...bye bye...
Cakewalk has SEVERELY missed the boat with the PC. WHY? Because they should have
been putting out "PC Modules" like popcorn (or BECAN), but didn't.
They missed a LOT of sales opportunities when this was introduced by not being ready to "flood the market" with their "proprietary" format plugins. Obviously not a lot of vendors saw the "need" to adapt to this.
We have some SofTube PC Products and some Overloud Products. That's all.
Here's to hoping someone wakes up...
Ok, you can throw rocks now...
