I'm tempted to get these to record through as they are reported to have zero latency. I have the Ik and waves scheps and both have latency. I can get the uad version for 99. Not sure hot many I need!

hmmm, I really like the Slate stuff. While I have Waves SLL and IK SLL (like them both), I am not so fond of the Waves V series I have and didn't bite on the Schepps, so the Neve is compelling. Is the VCA based on the Fairchild? I have the Puig-Child for that. However, I don't think I have a good FET version (unless it's called something else in my arsenal). I could spend $99 for the FET at AudioDeluxe on sale here (http://audiodeluxe.com/products/softube-fet-compressor?mc_cid=e35b32ca21&mc_eid=58a9b8091e) or $146 and get the FET and the Neve in the Slate stuff...

Slates VBC has the FG-MU is based on the Fairchild 670...
and that comes with the LA (FG-Red) and the 4000 (FG-Grey)
all for $83.99 in the JRRShop "Blowout" section...

Just an alternative...

woah, great memory bapu! :) I do have VBC, so I guess the FET is the only real gain with adding this new set of plugs. Thanks for pointing this out Larry - this is no longer tugging at my wallet!

So, a little more research and I find the "FET" compressor is based on the 1176, which I have with the Waves CLA and the IK Black.

so yeah, nothing to see here...

I wonder though, if we own the VBC will we'll get a version of those cross-over plugins in this rack interface at no charge...?
