I'm finally in a position were I don't need anything, but I will be very interested in this one. I'm determined to spend far less on software this year...so it will have to be great, and on sell somewhere. I've learned my lesson about paying full price for any of this stuff.

Unless it's something truly mind-blowing, I'll wait for the sales if the upgrade prices are correct. Can't remember the last time I used EZD. I only installed it on my recent OS upgrade in case of older projects that I might re-visit at some point.

Well said.  I am very happy with EXDrummer1, SD2, AD, Eco, NI Abbey Road....  So EZDrummer2 might be nice, but I will wait for a good sale and get it down the road.  I do hope it will load the EZX libraires.  i have all of them and hope it is backward compatible.

Yes. Loading the old EZX libraries is a must. I believe I read that it will... in one of the adds. My long term plan does include adding Superior drums at some point, but if EZ2 does what I need, better than what I'm doing now, it will be worth consideration. Mod Bod says it's great, so I bet it will be.

I'm in the same camp as you Clint, I don't really need anything at this point. I have always really liked EZD for the ease of writing, but had migrated to others that sounded better. Superior was on my list to upgrade to at some point, mainly because I have always loved EZD functionality. I am highly curious because of Dave's comments as a Beta Tester.

As others are confirming, according to the TT infor EZDrummer 2 will load the EZX libraries, which are updated with new effects; so it is good news there.  Also, it looks like the midi/groove section is similar to that of EZKeys like Bapu said.  There is a good picture of it here: http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums/musikmesse-2014-toontrack-ezdrummer-2-announced-596172

I wonder if if there are new AI type features like Jamsticks?

I use my EZX a lot in Superior but don't fire up EZ Drummer much these days, so its got to bring something significant to the party if i am going to upgrade.

Built in effects don't sell for me as I have some pretty decent effects to run in Sonar's mixer.
