Night off relaxing in the "man cave/home studio"...

Bought the remaster of Pink Floyd's Animals earlier this afternoon and I'm about to enjoy this awesome record I hadn't listened to in ages drinking one of these (and probably the rest of her family).

So here's up to you, pals. :)

Are those a few of your favorite things?

Oh, and HERE is another nice Gothic rock band for you to check out if you haven't heard of them already.

BTW - Animals is one of my favorite PF albums, and I've got 'em all!

You did it, you actually found a Goth band I didn't know! :P I'm checking them out.

Buy yourself a beer on my behalf! :P

WAIT!  I screwed up the link...  That's a very nice newer prog band.

I just realized that the goth band I was listening to you probably already know:  Faith and the Muse.

Sorry...

I just sent both links to someone else then got them confused...  Oh well.  Ok, how about some Goth from Hawaii to make up for it?  Here's a few samples of Razed in Black.

I had them all too back then, including some darn obscure bootlegs. All except The Final Cut - I never even listened to that one. For a few years, I listened to nothing but Pink Floyd and the Beatles.

It's nice to not only rebuild my collection but to get the remasters.

Likewise, I'm glad I've waited to buy the Zeppelin catalogue again too, in view of the recently announced new releases - might as well get the most recent version (as long as it sounds as good as the previous remasters).

For something a little mellower, try some really nice guitar by Rick Miller: Angel of My Soul (title song of the album)  There's VERY little on YouBoob from this excellent Canadian musician.  More can be found on one of his websites HERE.  His main influences were the Moody Blues and Pink Floyd.

No worries - I had it on pause, waiting; no damage done. ;)

Faith and the Muse - yep. :)

Sounds interesting. Thanks for that one!

Speaking of Canadian musician, Serge Fiori, the man behind Harmonium launched his first album in almost 30 years a few weeks ago, after years in reclusion, struggling with mental issues.

The thing went gold in 2 weeks - which is no small feat considering how the industry is doing back home and how far from your average pop record the album is.

Unfortunately, since the album is in french, a lot of it is lost in translation... Some of it is pretty poignant. But I think a lot gets through no matter what language one speaks.

I am not sure I'll forgive them for using Autotune though... And the artwork is atrocious.
