Or worst enemy.

The idea being that I need to push myself outside of my comfort zone, to keep on hunting down and killing certain reflexes and improving some other things - break muscle memory and incorporate new ways.

And for someone who went to St. Hendrix and studied under Jimmy Page and David Gilmour, this should prove to be far far out of the comfort zone.

Plus, it's in Am - it has to be Bapu-approved, Amn't it?

There are loads of the old Hot Licks videos on YouTube. If it's out of your comfort zone you're after, try the Danny Gatton one.

Yeah, YouTube has plenty of stuff, but then again - it's copyrighted material and navigating a DVD is much easier than putting up with YT and publicity and loading time and (un) related videos. Not to mention the quality issues...

To me, it's not worth putting up with all the disadvantage to save $15. Not to mention the personal moral issue.

I'll check Gatton - heard of him often. I figured that neo-classical was a good place to start in view of the stuff my wife and I want to work on.

Danny Gatton is one of the most amazing players I have ever heard. Not really my style of music, but he's so good it doesn't matter. Pity he died so young.
