  • [solved] DimPro being stubborn to install with X3

So...I already had DimPro prior to X3, but when I finally got around to installing it again (on my new computer), I just used the downloaded files.  Installed and worked OK, but I noticed many patches wouldn't come up.  I also noticed a "patch exe" file in the DimPro downloaded folder.  It wouldn't let me run it, as I could not direct the install to the correct VST locations it kept asking for.  I tried a zillion different combos and installs, but still the same.
Like I said, the program works, but I notice not all patches load up ...and noticed the patch was to potentially helping that problem, upgrading to DimPro 1.5.
I have NO idea what version of DimPro I downloaded with X3 and the old one I have is 1.0, which is too early to use the patch apparently....you need at least 1.2.

the good news is I'm getting in some good guitar practice and studio cleaning, as all this installing is going on...  ha!

Sorry you've tried this but have you tried hitting F5 to refresh the Library listing in DPro?

After re-installing..(again)....all seems fine.  However I'm getting the 30 day window, to register and my registration has already taken place, when I bought X3.  I posted up in X3...but I'm presuming that window will vanish after 30 days...

I can't remember if I had to register Dim Pro 1.5 seperately when I installed X3. Can you run Dim Pro in standalone mode without any of the 30 day notices popping up? (I do remember having to register Rapture seperately).

Robt Bone helped me out.  I opened Sonar in Administrator mode, and was able to register just fine.  My error.
