I stopped using click tracks or a metronome after Bad Luck. When I did, at the beginning, I discovered my sense of time was really bad. It made me fix it. Once I got a handle on keeping a feel and groove on my own I started playing with time behind and in front of the beat to "get a sound". That's really fun to do. I did that during my younger years but now I'm the only one playing so I Am exposed so to speak.  In the past I had the rhythm section to cover that part
