The best pics I've seen so far have been at JRR Shop. Looks like they have a built in step sequencer and a midi edit feature of some kind, it's hard to see. This and EZ2 look awesome! I wonder if AD2 will be 16 bit or 24?

The only pictures JRRShop is showing are from AD 1....not 2...unless they're hiding somewhere...

EDIT:  You can see pics if you look at one of the Package deals..

The pics in the package deals are what I was talking about. Looks cool! It's hard to believe AD has always been 24bit (I didn't know that) with how quickly it loads up. The load time is one of it's best features in my opinion. I know I'll be buying both at some point, but I have 9 ezx's and 0 adpaks...so EZ2 has to come first.

I was sure AD used to be 16 bit when I bought it about 6 or 7 years ago.
It certainly sounded like it but a lot of that was apparently due to their lossy compression format.

I was in awe of the small footprint...and the sound.

The drums are recorded at 24 bit 48 Khz
Their proprietary compression format allows for variable bit depth in use,
which is what allows for the small footprint.

I noticed at JRRShop when you read the description of the AD2 adpaks it says..."The addictive drums 2 engine comes with all adpaks and bundles we sell".  I wonder what comes with a standard upgrade? Or is this for new customers? If not I guess the best way to upgrade will be to buy an adpak for $79. Also the new kits are Retroplex, Prog, POP, Rock, Blue oyster and Black oyster. I wonder how the old kits will be upgraded.

That is interesting. I have a JRR sale email that has XLN ADPaks advertised for $49 ea. It says they will go up to $79 May 13th. I guess I better have a look over at JRR to see if any of the new ADpaks are there and only $49...

The new ADPaks are $79 ea. but if you use the 'group' coupon code it brings them down to $66.36. Have not found any demos yet.
