It's none of my business and I don't really care how IK runs their business model, but I do believe cclarry has a good point about their perceived value. After buying many products I believe IK do have very high quality plugins, but when you can buy these bundles several times a year for pennies on the dollar it makes me about fall over when they want $125 for one EQ. In their defense, compared to the competition that's probably a fair price for the quality, With my experience from purchasing software I can't afford to do anything but wait on the eventual sale.

I agree also Clint.  Ik's quality is superb.  I've said that time and time again.
And I advertise for them all the time by posting their sales and specials.
Contrary to popular belief, I"m not against IK.  I'm against the WAY they do
business.  Plain and Simple.

And that goes for all these other companies as well.  It's all a game for the consumer.
That's all it is.  You don't have to like it. And you don't have to play.  But it's nothing
more then a "game" to post RETAIL $XXX  on sale now for $XX...

The idea is to get the "Primo" dollar first.  Make it "EXCLUSIVE" and soak the ones willing to
pay the big bucks first.  THEN, lower the price for a sale and get the next group, then later, put it in
a group buy and get the others.  I've learned that you get the MOST for the LEAST by biding
your time, being patient, and NOT having to be the "first kid on the block to have it"

Capitalism.  THAT'S how it works.  Charge what the market will bear.

But just think, if they just sold those for $75 each....they'd be selling them like hotcakes.
OR if they were included in the BOGO.  That would get them out there and get some real world
users talking, which would, if they are as "Grand" as they say, make even more people buy them.

It's common sense 101 and Economics 101.  Especially in light of the others out there doing
it for HALF or less of what they're charging.

Time for US to wake up and smell the coffee..and stop throwing money at these companies.
WE have the power...NOT THEM.   If we don't buy, they don't sell...and that puts them between
a rock and hard place.  They'll have to sink or swim.

I bet you one of those "best thing since sliced bread"  recommendations for IK's new EQ's was from Jordan Rudess...............

I know for a fact he eats baguettes. I saw a YouTube video of him eating a baguette, which he claimed he ate during the recording of his latest album. He even tipped up his keyboard to reveal the crumbs. I immediately started eating baguettes based on his recommendation.

There's a thread on Kvr about it. Here's some of the comments:

Meh!
Not as good as Diva.
How much? I'm not paying 80p. I'll wait until it's 40p.
I'm really excited about this product.
Where's the demo?
Is it an emulation of a famous baguette?
I bought it. Tried it. Didn't like it. I've egested it. I'm not having it in my system.
Love it!
Does it require an iLok?
Jrrshop is the cheapest. Use BAKERY15 at the checkout.
I'll give it a miss.
How many baguettes do we need?
Is anyone else having trouble swallowing it?

LOL - and what exactly was in that baguette you ate??
Whatever it was, I bet you still had the munchies and thought the world was a really beautiful place, man...........

Nope, the comments were from forum users in one single thread and in a forum where there are many respected users who are typically very skeptical about anything knocking their Nebula, UAD, or even hardware in the one case, off the pedestal but they tried these and admitted so.  None from Jordan Rudess, sorry to disappoint.
