Cool!

..and I still want an SG, I bet it would be perfect with this amp. I was looking at them last night but I know my limitations. I have to wait a while, or sell something but every time I think about selling something I get cold feet.

And funnily enough, you've got me looking at Mesa Boogie's. :) Fortunately, all that stuff is way beyond my budget. Even the Trans Atlantic.

I'm still in love with the SG. The sound isn't exactly as chunky as a Les Paul, but it's got a bit more of a bite to it. I'd be curious to try and add an EQ pedal to the signal chain.

In terms of playability, it has to be my favorite guitar ever. Next step is fixing the strat or buying a new one. But on the Gibson side, I've found my holy grail. It's MY guitar.

I guess I too could try and sell stuff but I've learned the hard way that I almost always regret it.

Indeed you did. But unless I sell a few internal organs, I don't see that happening. :P

I'd like a little combo w/ a 12" speaker, but I'm so used to the convenience of the POD HD for recording, and I don't think I could push a tube amp loud enough to actually make good use of it. If anything, something solid state like a a little Randall RG80 would probably make more sense.

Last thing I bought besides the stands for the amps and key was a BOSS Super OD - first pedal I had ever owned as a kid. I didn't appreciate it back then, but I like it in front of my little Fender. And it's got me looking at pedals again... Since I seem to have rid myself of my addiction to software, my GAS had to find another target... :P

I can't recommend the Boss Bass EQ highly enough. Yes, it is great with a guitar especially if you want to tame speaker flub that comes with so many Fender amps.... and you can bump 800 to get a Fender more into Marshall land... but lower the first two faders just slightly below the mid line and ... NO FLUB. Amazing little pedal, has a boost too! Cheap too!
