So for $4.99 it looks like I can get this from google play. Is it worth it? There are a few of the plugins I would like to try...I know they are limited, but surely the CM version of Barricade, Hornet Fat-fet, Satson and Reverberate are worth $4.99. Do any of you get this magazine (or the digital version)?

I've subscribed to this for years. i enjoy it and keep going back to it. Lots of reviews of course. Also some interesting interviews with artists I don't know and that leads me on some interesting journeys of discovery. The recurring columns by RachMiel [sort of on creative music techniques] and Scott Solada [synthesis] are usually good. There are recurring articles on "How to construct a (prototypical) track" in a given style or genre that are educational. Besides the library of plug-ins, there are always a bunch of loops/samples. I usually take a chunk of time to go through these every several months and have gotten a lot of composition/arrangement ideas. I get the print edition and it is a little pricey, but feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth. Hope that's of some use - Ron

I typically wait for the particular offering. Not worth a subscription IMHO if you are not an ableton, logic or cubase user. The plugins are mostly ok with a real gem tossed in now and then. For 4.99 it is more than worth it.

I'm with Dub...I just buy the ones I want of both the
regular mag and the Special Editions.

And while some of the plugins are limited others aren't, but are
full versions with the CM moniker on them.

It is most definitely worth the $4.99

If you subscribe, you get a 30 free trial and then it's $3.99 a month or $39.99 for the year FYI...

If you buy the Digital Editions individually they're $4.99.

Cheers!

I used to be a subscriber but cancelled mine a few years back as I found the "reviews" were not reviews, more product announcements - the products being reviewed would have to literally not work in my opinion to get less than an 8!!
Also it became very repetitive and totally focused on EDM I felt.
Their other publication Future Music also went downhill I felt.
I only get SOS these days

My favorite computer music magazine, actually--subscribed for years.  Pricey in print, my sub expires in a couple of months and I'll be switching to the digital edition.

If you have an ios device, they usually run back issue sales for 1.99 an issue a few times a year. Just had one last week. If you don't need the latest issue, you can pick up a year's worth for 24 dollars that way. Same goes for all future music publications.
