The leak reported Thursday is one of the largest since TEPCO reported last summer that about 300 tons of radioactive water had leaked from a tank.

these guys CLEARLY do not know what they are doing, and are incapable of dealing with the situation they created with poor design.
...
I think this is unfair, to the people that will be losing their lives in the radiation trying to save it for all of us.
The situation in that thing was ridiculously bad, and they are having to make choices that are difficult, in order to prevent anything, including a total meltdown that would probably render the whole area done for about 100k or more years!
It is a very difficult situation and I'm not sure that they can prevent some leaks, and they probably will have to leak some, in order to relieve pressures now and then, or it would be worse!
The bad "design" is a 2nd guess best armchair quarterback situation. However, I don't think that anyone would consider that a tsunami would have the biggest of ships and everything else moving down Main St either! It's simply a wonder that the whole nuclear facility didn't get ripped in half and then everything be contaminated for 100k plus years!
