For some reason, color and/or figured-woods have become very important to me over the years. 

I've heard Steve prefers the fingered wood.

My friend Frank just lost all of his guitars (and everything else) when his house burned down on Friday. His spirits were up on Saturday and we took up donations for him at another friend's 75th b'day party the next evening. Looking for the right one is not easy.
 
Frank's even written some lyrics to process the pain...the chorus went something like, "I watched as my guitars all went up in smoke...tried to save them, but all I did was choke".  He named the song "Oh Well" and played it with tear-filled eyes for us this morning:-(  He's a big Jerry Garcia fan and added "maybe Jerry's playing them with (and he mentioned a few other late-greats)".  What an experience! 
 
Hope you found the right one for your daughter.  Like living beings, they can be extremely important to the person who plays them.

Hmm...  Never heard of that one.

That name for a guitar is as good as any other name given to a guitar.

Cancelled?  Uh oh...  Let me guess, she failed being 17 and has to do that age again? 

Don't have a clue as to budget...but I'd recommend a Fender Classic Series 50s Strat. She will (I bet) love the 7.25 radius and all reviews are very positive. $799.00

I think the "Cancelled" thing needs an explanation.
