My doorbell rang and noone was there. I looked out and didn't see Craigb. No way he could have ran that fast.

It happened last week. I had taken a mental health  day off to play in the studio. I was feeling a little rough...cough...cough....

In the afternoon about 10 minutes before my wife got home it rang. Not anything in sight anywhere near it. My UPS driver had come a few hours before that and rang the bell. I thought maybe it was one of the neighbors but nope.

It's time you moved house to get a new doorbell!

Is this after your disabled it?

I never disabled it. Since it works we need it because if a person comes to the door and knocks we don't always hear it. I am thinking about getting a camera outside though. I could wire it to take a pic when someone rings the bell.

Of course if the person is invisible it won't help much.

Yeah, a camera might help, but Bubba's known to be the Invisible Time Traveler (ITT) and apparently, everywhere.......all the time.

Too Funny...You know a quick fix would be a movement detection light or camera with sensors if there is anyone really out there.

What if there's no one there, but the bell is still being rung???

I live in the boonies and even a world class sprinter would have a tough time ringing that bell and getting away before I open the door. There is no where for them to go for one thing. When I open the door I can see all around the area.

On an unrelated note, this Remote Doorbell app doesn't seem to do anything. I keep hitting the button and nothing happens.

Anyway, back to Starise and his issues. I wouldn't be too concerned. It's probably nothing. Well, it could be something, but that's not very likely. I mean, obviously, it could be that there's an invisible portal to an unseen realm cleverly hidden somewhere inside your house. I don't know who or what might be ringing that bell, but I'm guessing that they don't like to be ignored. I'm not saying that all of them are fanged, severely deranged, and absolutely terrifying with any object sharper than a dull spoon, but there could be a few. I mean, who else would you expect to find lurking behind an invisible hidden door? You'd like to think that they'd give up and go away, but, deep down, you know they'll be back and they'll bring their friends. In the event that they work themselves into a frenzy, that door may not hold. If, I mean, When that happens, you do not want to be home.

Of course, none of that is likely. I'm sure you're probably safe, more or less. After all, what are the odds that two of us would have that exact same problem?

Hope that helps.
