In Pendleton, if we had to reach Mr. Cooper or anyone else, we just threw a prairie pattie their way ... they noticed stuff like that real good, and made them feel more "cowboy"!
 
Not sure how it is in the bigger cities, but in Pendleton, all of them mixed in with everyone, and at the time there was only one place for them to stay if they did not have their own coaches or buses, and that the Red Lion. So it was easy to meet them all at that time, but 25 years later, I'm not sure it is still the same, though Pendleton still is that small mom and pop place. And a nice one!
