I did a few projects with the Scarbee Pre Bass and when listen to it via headphones it sounded a little out of intonation compared to other instrumentation. Some notes are fine while some are not. Switched to Scarbee MM Bass immediately fix this. I've been using mostly MM Bass, till few days ago, when I use the Pre Bass. Same issue.

Anyone experiencing this ?

If you have melodyne, create the audio and "auto tune" the bass part.

Having to use Melodyne would be totally unacceptable to me. If you are going to sell a product like this it should be tweaked to the point of perfection. I use Scarbee Jay-Bass and do not have this problem whatsoever. I was considering adding Pre-Bass but now.................

Heck, I melodyne my own bass. Especially after a long sweaty session a string of two must just get slightly out of tune.

I do understand about buying a library that "should" be correct. My bass should be correct too but as they say, spit happens.

Next thing you know, drummers will be playing in time.

I've used Scarbee Pre quite a lot and have never noticed it.  Sometimes one instrument out of tune can make others sound out of tune.  Are yolu sure that Scarbee is tthe culprit?  If you know what notes sound out play then into a good tuner and check them.

Just a quick test, I've setup Pre Bass, MM Bass and also Jay Bass and send the output to a bus with a tuner vst.

I'm happy to report that all the basses are in tune - and I wonder now why the Pre Bass sounded off to my ears. It's like a sleepy and uneasy feeling hearing the mix. I'll try to setup a short mix with the different basses and see what's wrong ..with my ears!

What I could best describe as fatigue has caused me to hear bass frequencies out of tune on occasions. If I keep at it, it only gets worst.

Working with headphones will almost inevitably mess with my perception of bass after a while. And it's like one of those hidden image thingies - once I've heard it out of tune, it's all I can ear - the only cure is a break, and listening to something else for a while.

The sensation is quite weird actually, because your reference keeps drifting - almost like being dizzy or feeling seasick.
