Since the thread is locked I wanted to say this.
 
I was part of the petition to re-instate him, but after reading Seths other side of the story I now see it is futile.
 
I didn't realize they did go above and beyond to investigate and give him benefit of the doubt, even checking out his other forum posts before arriving at a final judgement.
 
Now as far as bubs IP claims, I work in IT( a University) and yes we usually block or detect based on a MAC address, thats how we findt he bit-torrent bootleg down loaders, after the MPAA reports an IP, we do the magic and find the MAC associated with the IP and find the network switch and room in the dorm they are ,
 
This is on a controlled network, the intrawebz may be the same way, but Seth said their IT department (or provider) doesn't do that.
 
I am not judging eithers claims, but I think CW would extend an olive branch if they could.
 
I know the Bouy was ban hammered for a short time, but hes back..
 
I could provide them a list of users upstairs that should be hammered, but thats only my one opinion ...
 
I know one thing, I am also on a ham radio forum that deleted a WHOLE sub because  they are revenue driven(read advertisers support them) and an advertiser said they saw "adult" content ...but they scuttle butt was political/sexual/controversial posts caused it. They even imposed a ban on discussing moderators and HOW the forum is moderated!!!!
 
THIS forum is the most tolerant of all. Yes we push the boundary  of religion/politics/good taste on occasion but for the most part, we self moderate.

Maybe you just need to try larger ions?  The petite ones obviously aren't working for you.

Probably not a good idea to start this thread after a lock but thank's for giving some of us the opportunity to say something, goes to show this is a company sponsored forum and that should be evident now so there is no need to post anything derogatory about the company or product. I'm kinda glad it happened here though and not upstairs without having ruined the atmosphere with any unnecessary fighting.
 
Cakewalk has been pretty fair as fair can be and sometimes shouldn't be pressured into a situation that was supposed to be settled.

I was not deriding the Mods decision, simply stating an "OHHHH" moment for me, as I said I was on the original petition . Had I seen both sides then I am sure my response in the OP would have been different or absent.
