All you need to do to get rid of the spam posts is to flag it as spam.  After three people have done so, the post disappears.
 
I will usually also report one of the topics to the moderators so they can ban the spammer later, but we no longer need to wait for them.

So I could create three profiles and then spend the rest of the day deleting every thread I didn't like?

I thought about doin that. But I'm too lazy to create two more profiles.

I think that world is already struggling enough with just one of me around - let alone 3!! Haha!

Note: The posts aren't deleted right away, they're simply removed from being seen.  After three flaggings the post is set to a status of "Approval Pending" which means the mods would see any abuse and handle that situation.

bapu, have you considered the possibility that it's a 16-bit counter? Had it been a signed 16-bit variable you'd have rolled over 25,000 posts ago, e.g. sometime last week.
